Can’t believe it took me this long to figure this one out, although I think the trails in Upper Paint Branch SVU are pretty new. Some of the NW Branch Trail stuff is a bit heavy on the roots and rocks, I don’t think this route would be a whole lot of fun on a cross bike.

The singletrack in Upper Paint Branch is truly gorgeous—soft ground and a green carpet of ferns. (Do watch out, it would be pretty easy to bounce off a root and end up in the creek).
